   well thanks. I like the colours as well :-) I lost sight of the fact that I was going for a 3D illusion (sort of) and just ended up coloring in.

   It is good to see feedback which questions the assessment I have made of my own work :-) I'm glad you like it. And since my journal is now all about being reckless and wild... well anything and everything should be done to it without too much self criticism.

   Hi Claire - I have been having a look through your work and I like these recent pieces with the collage fabric and leaves - you asked me about textiles/paintings in a sketch book - one thing you could try is interpreting a section of one of your paintings by making a small paper frame and choosing a section of a painting and then enlarge it and try it in different textile media, fabric collage, embroidery stitches, weaving yarns in similar colours. I hope that is helpful.

   Thanks Mandy, I really appreciate your feedback. I have been sticking fabric onto my paintings, so it makes sense to turn the tables and turn some paintings into fabric :-) I'm keen to turn some drawings into quilts too.
