Hi Claire, Well if you need some cheering up, think of how lucky you are to get paid overtime/flextime/time in lieu! I get none of the above when working (or travelling) on weekends (which unfortunately happens all too often - eg. off to Gladstone tomorrow)... Perhaps I should join the public service! I still have to look up that RACV magazine for you - it is sitting here but I never seem to get around to it.. Lynne

Imagine the pay cut :-p Why don't you travel on company time??? Perhaps it is the culture you are adhering to, more than your conditions of employment. The more you accept these impositions (and that is what they are), the more normal it becomes.... and the young engineers coming up behind you think that it is acceptable as well. Ultimately it is your choice, as you know.

Hi Jude. It has been a bit tough this week, the will to create has vanished... temporarily I hope. Easter starts tonight, and I'm glad for the break.

Amazing how knitting can calm the soul...and you are still creating. ...enjoy the down time, recharge the battery....

The scarf has grown and I am sinking into Easter gratefully :-) Thanks cyndy.
