That Mildly Frustrated Feeling

I decorated another 4 postcards (the two remaining cards have manufacturing faults so I'm not going to bother with them).  I scanned these instead of photographing them and they look more contrasty here than in real life.

I'm pretty chuffed to have used up some supplies! I'd love to send one or two out as postcards through the mail... if you'd like a postcard from me, please let me know in the comments!

I am SOOOO itching to get into my sewing room.  There are lots of projects backed up. I'm going to get dibbs on some baby-free time over the weekend so I can go crazy and sew, sew, sew.  I'm thinking I should do all my cutting out now.... so what do I want to make?

  • Baby pants (finish one pair and make another)
  • Pencil case - why do I keep my pencils in a plastic bag when I'm equiped and skilled to make a cute fabric case?!!
  • A pair of shorts for myself (the pattern adustment project I started months ago...  I've adjusted the pattern so now I've got to make a muslin to test out the fit!!).
  • A knit dress ... a little ambitious for me, but I think I'm up for it!!

I also need to think about possible hand sewing projects for times when I can't get into my sewing room.  I just can't decide what I want to make!  Arrrrgh!

me me me send one to me!

me me me send one to me!

I love you Meggie :o)

I love you Meggie :o)  Mahwhuh

Hi Claire, If the

Hi Claire,

If the offer extends to overseas postage I'd love one!  How are you?  Might give you a call some time to catch up (or maybe I will have to send a postcard of my own - just don't expect anything artistic!).

Lynne

Hi Lynne :-)   I'd LOVE to

Hi Lynne :-)   I'd LOVE to send you one!  I've been thinking about you a lot lately... what with the olympics and everything.  I bet you are getting a bit sick of winter by now! I'll email you to get your address  x Claire

aww schucks. did i just miss

aww schucks. did i just miss one? these postcards look like so much fun! i've also been sketching with some colored pencils. have you tried the watercolor ones? they go on really smoothly and nice and dense.

so have you decided which sewing project to take on first? well, hope you got a good chunk of time in. i love seeing whatever you are making at the moment. :D.

p.s. you mentioning a pencil

p.s. you mentioning a pencil case reminded me of this idea for a pencil/brush holder that a friend made. it has these individual slots for the brush/pencil/tool that you can roll up. she made it really long to hold like 30+ pencils. it was really cool! i wish i got a picture of it. but the idea is something like this: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/makeup-brush-rollup-holder

someting i want to make one of these days...

Of course you didn't miss

Of course you didn't miss out!  I'll send you and email :-)   I ended up making the shorts... and they took me all weekeend LOL

dear dear Claire! your

dear dear Claire! your postcard is even more gorgeous in person!!! i love it very much. the watercolor and colored pencil work amazingly well together. it looks like a rich print, with a lovely satiny texture to it. love the reds. these images on the screen do not do them justice.  i have mine up against the wall where i can see from down the hallway too and the color and design just pop! makes me very happy everytime i look at it. i am going to frame it :). thank you, Claire.
